Cosmetic fixed braces work in the same way as traditional braces that are fixed to the teeth with a bracket and have wires attached to the teeth to gently move them into the desired position over a number of months.

Then, you will return to have your fixed cosmetic brace attached, and positioned securely to ensure the most effective results.
You will need to go back regularly over the next few months to have your brace checked and repositioned as required to aid the corrective process.
Afterwards, retainers will be provided for use at home to prevent any relapsing of your teeth back into their old positions.
Invisalign is the name for a different type of teeth alignment treatment. Rather than having brackets and wires attached, you use a series of invisible aligners to move your teeth into the right place.
They are easy to fit and comfortable to wear and work quickly and effectively, making the whole experience reassuringly straightforward. Invisalign is versatile too, meaning that it can be used to treat a wide range of orthodontic concerns.
The process starts with an advanced computer 3D imaging programme that allows you to see the potential outcome of your Invisalign treatment. Using this, as well as impressions made from your teeth and photographs of your teeth, mouth and face, your set of personalised aligners are created and fitted professionally to ensure a perfect fit.
Each aligner is worn for around two weeks before you move on to the next one in the series. They can be removed when you wish, for example at mealtimes, and are easy to clean and care for, which is an important factor in any longer-term procedures.
