Metal Wire Braces Manchester

Metal or wire brackets are what most people picture when they think about traditional teeth straightening techniques. Despite the range of cosmetic dentistry options out there nowadays, metal braces remain a popular realignment solution. Their design is far less intrusive than in years gone by, the application is much less painful, and the results are highly effective. They are not quite as expensive as other options, and different coloured wires allow for self-expression and create smiles.

Heat-activated archwires fix the brace in position, while constant, gradual pressure enables realignment to happen with minimal discomfort.Successful alignment subsequently allows patients to clean their teeth more easily, thus improving oral hygiene and reducing decay. Corrected bites can also help reduce any jaw pain you may have been experiencing while chewing, talking or yawning.

During your treatment with Metal Wire Braces, it’s essential to attend regular orthodontic appointments. These visits allow your orthodontist to monitor your progress, make any necessary adjustments, and ensure that your treatment stays on track.

FAQs

You can give us a call or drop in to fill in a registration form for you and your children at your convenience.

We recommend registering for a dentist as early as possible, even before you child has his or her first tooth. That way, we can get to know them and they can grow accustomed to visiting us early on. We can also keep an eye on their baby teeth and spot any potential concerns early on.

All our staff are trained in working with nervous patients and will do their utmost to put children at ease. We can offer tours of the surgery and provide all kinds of comforts such as playing their favourite music or audio books while they are seen.

Brushing and flossing are crucial. Use a soft-bristle brush and floss threaders to clean around wires and brackets. Regular dental check-ups are also essential.

What our Patients say?

Dear Dr Shabs. This is just a note to say thank you SO MUCH for everything you’ve done for me and my disasterous teeth! Ever since I smashed my front teeth in freshers week I felt like I’ve been in the best possible hands! However, I’ve just finished a teaching course and am going to go and teach English in Jordan in two weeks time and therefore have had to register somewhere else 🙁 Whenever I’m back living in Manchester again though, I’ll be back. Cheers again, Helen (the one who does Arabic)
